Gwynne Allyn Warner


Gwynne Warner , received a BA in Theatre (acting) in Minnesota; then trained at the Tyrone Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis; and later in London at the Guildhall School of Drama under the auspices of the Royal Shakespeare Company (MFA). In England she worked with directors from the RSC as well as the Royal National Theatre.

Returning to America, she continued to train with master teachers and directors from around the world--Israel, Hungary, Argentina, Poland-- which included an invitation as an Artist in Residence at Double Edge Theatre where she created a solo performance, This Burning Heart, supported by a RACC grant.

Among her favorite roles are Goneril, Hecuba, Mother Courage, Clytemnestra, Hermione and Medea. She is the founder of, an actor in, and artistic director for Theatre of the Invisible. She also is a private acting coach as well as leading The Invisible Actor training workshops.

Gwynne works at the intersection of theatre, spirituality and human rights. For years she has volunteered for Amnesty International, Free Tibet and a local refugee center. Her theatre work integrates the Buddhist principles of wisdom and compassion. Her last production was The Trojan Women, one of the greatest anti-war plays ever written; and her upcoming piece, She-Who-Hears-the-Cries-of-the-World, is about the Lady Buddha.

Gwynne is also the founder of 10,000 Blessings Feng Shui.
